Thornton Anderson
Thornton Anderson
1923 -

Holds a Batchelors Degree from Wichita State University and a Masters Degree from the University of Wisconsin in Geology.  After graduation, he worked for Skelly Oil Co., Petroeum Inc., and Lion Oil Co. respectfully.  By 1955 he had become an independent geologist and in 1962 joined Bob Watchous to form the High Plains Production Co.  This company dissolved in 1969, and he continued as an independent operator and producer until 1981, when his son Bill joined the company.  In 1988 they formed Anderson Energy, Inc.  He is affiliated with numerous volunteer organizations, holding board positions for many.
