Museum Hours

The Kansas Oil Museum and Butler County Historical Society is open year-round. Self-guided tours through the galleries and grounds are available during regular hours; docent-led tours may be scheduled in advance by phone or using our website.

Thursday - 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Friday - 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Saturday - 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Sunday - Closed

*During Inclement Weather the outdoor exhibits will not be open*

We are closed on state holidays and will be closed the Saturday before Labor Day.

Accessibility & Safety

The Museum is wheelchair accessible and fully equipped with accessible parking, ramps, and push-activated doors.

For the safety of our antiques, food and drinks are not allowed in the exhibit halls and historic buildings at the Museum. Packed meals may be brought outside on the Museum grounds for picnicking. East Park, next to the Museum, is also available for outdoor picnicking.

Restrooms

We have single-stall men’s and women’s restrooms in the main building. Outdoors in our "Wash House" building there are separate bathrooms with several stalls each.
